UTILIZATION OF RICE HUSK PELLETS
Rice husks are the most abundant by-product of rice processing, with high value as fuel, animal feed, or fertilizer. However, their bulk and lightweight make direct use challenging due to difficulty in compression. The rice husk pellet machine efficiently compresses rice husks into compact, usable pellets.

Biomass Pellet Fuel Production
Rice husks are carbon-rich with a calorific value of 12–15 MJ/kg, making them suitable for boilers, biomass power, and heating. Their loose texture makes direct burning inefficient, but compressing them into pellets improves combustion efficiency and simplifies storage and transport.
What can it be used for?
Animal Feed Pellets
Rice husks support digestive health in ruminants and herbivores and improve aquatic feed pellet stability when processed with a rice husk pellet machine.
Organic Fertilizer Pellets
Rice husks are effective fillers and fermentation conditioners for organic fertilizers, improving aeration and organic content for easy-to-use pelletized products.

Frequently Asked Question
If you have any questions about the rice husk pellet machine, feel free to contact us. Our technical consultants are ready to assist. We have also included some frequently asked question that may be helpful.
Can a rice husk pellet machine produce both fuel pellets and feed pellets?
It is not advisable to use the same rice husk pellet machine for both fuel and feed pellets. These two products have different raw material formulations, compression ratios, processing temperatures, and hygiene standards. Fuel pellets, made from agricultural waste like rice husks, have lower hygiene requirements, while feed pellets must meet strict food safety standards and nutritional needs. Using the same equipment can lead to cross-contamination, affecting feed quality and animal health. It’s best to use separate machines or production lines for each.
Can your pellet machine produce high-quality pellets from light, hard rice husks?
Yes, it can. The RICHI rice husk pellet machine is specially optimized for rice husks, which are light and fibrous. It features a high-compression, wear-resistant ring die and reinforced rollers, ensuring the production of dense and durable pellets. Tests show that rice husk pellet formation can reach up to 98%, with excellent quality.Feel free to bring your raw materials to our factory for a trial run to verify the equipment’s performance.
How much does a rice husk pellet machine cost?
The cost of a rice husk pellet machine ranges from $7,000 to $100,000, depending on the model, production capacity, configuration, and automation level.
How can I ensure the compatibility of all equipment in a rice husk pellet production line?
You don’t need to worry about compatibility. RICHI Machinery provides a one-stop, customized solution for complete rice husk pellet production lines. All equipment is compatible and developed in-house by RICHI. Our professional team offers full support, from design and manufacturing to installation, commissioning, and training, ensuring smooth and efficient operation.
How should rice husks be processed for smooth pelletizing, and how should moisture content and compression ratio be controlled?
For successful pelletizing, the moisture content of rice husks should be between 13% and 18%. Too much moisture can block the mold, while too little makes pellets brittle and hard to form. Rice husks should be ground to about 3mm, with a compression ratio of 3-4:1 to accommodate their fibrous nature. If moisture exceeds 18%, use a drying drum; if it falls below 13%, add a small amount of water for conditioning.
